26th Annual GBTC GRAND ISLAND 

HALF MARATHON

**The 2020 Grand Island Half Marathon has been cancelled. All current entrants will be automatically entered into the 2021 Grand Island Half Marathon. No further action is required.**

When: Saturday, May 2, 2020

 

Race Start Time: 9:00AM

 

​Race Day Details:

 

9AM start at Beaver Island State Park, Grand Island,
NY (between Buffalo and Niagara Falls). The half marathon
is a flat, out and back course, along the scenic Niagara river.
Fee includes finisher medal, chip timing, water, sports drink,
post race food, and beverages. Long sleeve, 1/4 zip pullover guaranteed to registrations received by April 1, after that as supplies last

Team Competition: Enter a mixed gender team of 4; any
combination of men, and women. This is not a relay. All team
members run the full 13.1 miles.

Race Day Amenities:

  • Race fee includes chip timing, water, sports drinks, post race food, and beverages.

  • Commemorative medal awarded to every Half Marathon finisher!

  • A portion of race proceeds will benefit FeedMoreWNY (formerly Meals on Wheels and Food Bank WNY). Also, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to packet pickup on Friday or to the Park on Race Day.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup for the 26th Annual GBTC Grand Island Half Marathon will be on 5/1/20 at Flying Bison Brewing Company from 12pm - 8pm.  Day of race packet pickup and registration is available from 7am - 8:45am on Saturday May 2, 2020 at Beaver Island State Park.

Awards:

Individual: The overall male and female finishers, the top masters finishers and the top three in each age division.

Team: $500 to 1st place team, $300 to 2nd place team, $200 to 3rd place team.

Age Divisions:

19 & under, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70 – 74, 75 - 79, 80 and up.

Directions:

Take the Beaver Island exit off the I-190. Follow signs to the park. Free admission to the park for all runners and their families. Veer left as you enter the park to access Area 1 for parking and pre/post race activities at the River Side shelters, Marina North and South.
